HP Mini 1000

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

HP just updated its wildly popular 2133 netbook with an even more impressive entry the Mini 1000. The overall design, fit and finish of the case, massive (for a netbook) keyboard and aggressive price point ($399) are all winning praise from reviewers. If you are in the market for one of these machines, it looks like the Mini 1000 is a solid choice. If you are still deciding, head over to Engadget for the full review.

HP 2133 Mini-Note Widescreen Notebook PC

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

The sub-notebook segment has been heating up laptop sales as of late due to their relatively low cost and great portability. But until now if you were looking for a major manufacturer you were “stuck” with the pricey Airbook or pricer X300. HP has solved the dilemma with the release of its 2133 8.9″ widescreen notebook pc. The base configuration ($499) sports a 1.2 GHz processor, 512 RAM and a 4 GB flash drive, WiFi and the SUSE Linux operating system. Weighing in at just 2.8 pounds, the Mini-Note makes for a great field or backup PC. Upgrades are available for most of the components including the OS. We just wish there was a way to get Leopard on there…or at least XP.
